One of the three men wanted in connection with a highly-explosive bomb manufacturing plot was arrested yesterday. The Chief of Public Security Major-General Tariq Al Hassan announced yesterday (Monday 23 July) Jafar Hussain Mohammed Yousif Eid has been arrested and charged with arranging locations for a terror plot, including several buildings used for highly-explosive bomb production. Last month’s raids at two suspicious locations - one in Salmabad and the other in Hamad Town – yielded in confiscating four bombs ready for use, in addition to five tons of explosive materials and another 110 liters of chemicals. The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has brought in specialists from London’s Metropolitan Police to assist in the investigation. authorities are expected to send samples of the explosive material to Scotland Yard’s Bomb Data Center for analysis. General Al-Hassan said that the publication of the suspects' photos led to the arrest. The suspect was referred to the Public Prosecution and investigation will continue until all of those involved are brought to justice. The two other suspects who are still at large are Radhi Ali Radhi Abdulrasool and Dhafir Saleh Ali Saleh.
