The 25th conference of the Federation of Afro-Asian Insurers and Reinsurers (FAIR) opened today under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa.

HRH the Premier delegated Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) Governor Rashid Al-Maraj to open the three-day event, being held under the theme “Insurance Transformation in FAIR – LAND”.

Al-Maraj conveyed to FAIR organisers and participants greetings from HRH the Premier, who wished the success of the conference to contribute to developing the insurance and reinsurance sector, which represents a key pillar of regional economies.

He expressed his pride at being deputized by HRH the Premier to open FAIR which represents a crucial regional event.

He stressed the Government’s keenness on supporting the sectors of banking, finance, insurance and reinsurance, underlining Bahrain’s strides as a regional financial hub.

He wished the conference success so as it could contribute to bolstering regional cooperation in the sector of insurance to support economic growth and boost development.

Arig Insurance Group and Trust Re are organizing the 25th FAIR conference, in cooperation with the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) and Bahrain Insurance Association.
