Tripoli - Arab Today
The Libyan Red Crescent said around 117 bodies of drowned Arab and African migrants were recovered off the Libyan shores Friday.
Speaking to MENA, Libyan Navy spokesman Ayub Qassem said 117 bodies have been found so far off Zuara in western Libya.
The bodies recovered include 70 women and five children, the Libyan Red Crescent said.
There has been a surge in migrant departures from Libya recently due to good weather and the recent closure of the Balkan Route.
