Vieira was captain of that legendary Gunners team and insists that City have a similar mentality about them, as well as great team spirit. The former French international, who became City’s football development executive after retiring in the summer, believes manager Roberto Mancini has created a positive atmosphere around the club. “What I really like about this team [City] and makes me remember Arsenal, is the atmosphere in the dressing room,” Vieira told the Daily Mirror. “There is a group of lads who have a really strong relationship. At Arsenal I liked going into training everyday because the atmosphere was good and I feel at City it is the same. “At Arsenal we believed in ourselves. We knew we were good enough to win the league – I believe that’s what is happening at City.” Vieira knows what it takes to win the Premier League having lifted the title three times and, although he admits Manchester United have the greater know-how, he believes City are the better team. He continued: “What is important is as a team we are better than United. It’s in our hands to win the title “When you look at our team and the way we have played since the start of the season, and you look at how United have played, the fact is we are better than them. “But United know how to win. Alex Ferguson knows the league better than anybody else. They win titles year after year.” The Frenchman also says that winning the FA Cup last season gave City belief in themselves. He added: “Winning the FA Cup gives you belief that you can challenge anybody else. When you look at our squad, we have 20 players who are all internationals.
