A Saudi soldier was killed Tuesday when a border guard patrol task came under heavy fire on the border with Yemen, the Saudi Interior Ministry said.
Over 90 civilians and soldiers have been killed in shelling and clashes in Saudi border regions since March when a Saudi-led military coalition began air and ground operations against Iran-backed militias in Yemen.
Meanwhile, Saudi security authorities killed a wanted Bahraini national in Qatif during an attempt to arrest him.
The Bahraini person was accused of being involved in several terrorist crimes.
A machine gun and a pistol were seized in his possession, a statement by the Saudi Interior Ministry reported.
The statement called on wanted people to surrender themselves to security agencies, and warned of harboring them or providing them with any kind of support.
