Saudi air forces intercepted in the wee hours of Monday a ballistic missile fired by Houthi militants toward the southern city of Khamis Mushait, destroying it without causing any damage.

The Saudi air forces have targeted Houthi launching sites, the command of the Alliance to support the legitimacy in Yemen announced today.

Southern parts of Saudi Arabia and its borders with Yemen are frequent target of fierce attacks from houthi militants and forces loyal to Yemen's former president Ali Abdullah Saleh.
