Sanaa - MENA
Huthi militias and troops loyal to former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh raided residential areas in Taiz early Wednesday.
Sky News said the raids resulted in huge explosions that rocked the city.
Meanwhile, the popular resistance and national army controlled the air defense camp in Bir Basha in the west of Taiz.
The popular resistance now has control over most of Taiz, said leader Hammoud al Makhelafi, adding that they were able to expel Huthi and Saleh militants.
