Daesh claimed responsibility for the suicide attack that targeted military base in Hadramout, leaving at least 30 Yemeni recruits dead, Daesh-affiliated Amaq News Agency said.
The recruits were lining up at Najda military base near the presidential palace in the southern Yemeni city of Mukalla, Hadramout, when a Daesh suicide bomber blew himself.
The terrorist attacks comes three days after a bobby-trapped car exploded in an army camp in Mukalla, killing at least six soldiers and injuring many.
Another six soldiers were killed when an explosion targeted a motorcade of a Yemeni military chief, four days ago.
Being of special economic importance, the formerly Daesh-held Mukalla has been liberated during a joint military operation spearheaded by the Saudi-led coalition.
