Seven people have been killed and 23 others injured in a Houthi militia shelling against residential areas and military sites in the Red Sea's city of Taiz, in a violation of a ceasefire in Yemen.
The Houthi militia continued shelling to the populated areas, killing three people, including a woman, and wounding 16 others, sources from the Yemeni popular resistance said on Saturday.
Meantime, the militias attacked sites of the popular resistance in many areas, killing four from the popular resistance fighters and injuring seven.
Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi has announced a ceasefire between the warring parties in Yemen to pave the way for successful talks in Switzerland.
The truce, aimed at helping parallel UN-sponsored peace talks that opened in Switzerland on Tuesday, has been repeatedly violated.
