At least 27 Houthi militants and loyalists to former president Ali Abdallah Saleh were killed in the governorates of Al Bayda, Taez and Al Jawf after clashes with the Yemeni army and resistance forces over the past few hours.
Yemeni news agency said on Monday 12 militants were killed and six others were injured in military operations in several districts in Al Bayda in central Yemen.
In Taez, 10 militants were killed and 10 others injured in clashes that took place between the government forces and militants in southern Taez.
Resistance forces supportive of legitimate authority in Yemen said four personnel of the government troops were killed and six others injured in the clashes.
Yemeni government forces have successfully controlled two villages in southern Taez amidst violent clashes to clear Saad Mountain in Zubeira district.
In northern Al Jawf governorate, close to the Saudi borders, violent clashes have been going on between the Yemeni army and Houthis with the use of heavy and medium weapons.
Meanwhile, Arab coalition warplanes led by Saudi Arabia shelled Houthi positions in Al Matoun directorate, killing five militants and wounding several others.
In Ma'rib in central Yemen, anti-missile defense systems of the Arab coalition forces intercepted late Sunday a ballistic missile launched by Houthis and destroyed it.
