Thirteen Houthi militants were killed and dozens others injured in clashes between the Yemeni armed forces and the Popular Resistance Forces (PRF) and the Houthi militias in Ta'iz city.
The military council's media center said that a soldier was killed and eight others were injured in Wednesday's clashes, adding that seven civilians were injured in a shelling of populated areas.
The Arab coalition's planes shelled and destroyed arms caches in Rubaie area, west of the city and a hangar used as an ammunition depot in Hawaban neighborhood, east of Ta'iz city, it added.
Yemen has but situation worsened when Houthis and soldiers loyal to Ali Abdullah Saleh, the former Yemeni president, swept across southern Yemen, taking the port city of Aden and forcing the Arab Gulf-backed President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi into exile.
