Eleven Houthi and pro-Saleh militants were killed and scores injured in clashes that erupted with members of the Yemeni Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) on the front lines in Taiz city, the media office of the military council in the city said.
Also, seven members of the PRC were wounded in the clashes, the media office added.
The Saudi-led coalition aircraft have targeted some sites of the Houthis in the city, sources with the PRC said.
Meanwhile, three Al Qaeda fighters were killed in an air strike believed to be carried out by a US drone in Shabwah governorate, according to local sources.
