Kabul: Islamic State claims responsibility for attack at Shiite mosque, dozens killed

Afghanistan's Taliban group denied responsibility for bombing a Shiite mosque in the capital Kabul on Monday.

The attack that targeted the Baqir ul Olum mosque killed 27 people and injured 35 others.

Denying responsibility for the attack, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said "We have never attacked mosques as it's not our agenda".

The attacker detonated his suicide vest among the crowds inside the mosque.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
