Taliban attacks on Thursday killed 20 people including four women and a child in Afghanistan, while a suicide bomber killed three officers and wounded 20 as he rammed a truck packed with explosives into a compound housing a paramilitary force in Pakistan’s largest city Karachi. In Afghanistan, 10 civilians, including a child and four women, died as their vehicle struck a land mine in Musa Qala, southern Helmand province. Seven children in the group - which was heading to a wedding - were wounded in the blast, said Ismail Khan Hotak of the provincial security co-ordination centre. Earlier, a remote controlled bomb in a bazaar in nearby Zabul province killed two boys aged 12 and 14, provincial spokesman Ahmad Jawed Faisal said. He said a suicide bomber on a motorcycle blew himself up amid a police patrol in Kandahar, killing the three policemen and wounding two.
