The Afghan National Police killed 8 armed Taliban in several joint clearance operations with the cooperation of Afghan National Army, National Directorate of Security (NDS) and Coalition Forces in the past 24 hours at many areas of the country. According to the Afghan Ministry of Interior, the operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Kandahar, Zabul, Logar, Ghazni and Helmand provinces. Also, during these operations, Afghan National Security Forces arrested 7 other armed Taliban. During the same 24 hour period, Afghan National Police discovered and defused four different types of mines.
