NATO coalition forces in Afghanistan escaped injury Tuesday when they came under attack while traveling through eastern Laghman province, officials said. The convoy was attacked in the village of Basram by rocket propelled grenades, Khaama Press reported. Sarhadi Zwak, a spokesman for the provincial government, said the troops were traveling from the district of Noor Gram district to Mehtarlam city early Tuesday when they came under attack. A NATO vehicle was damaged, he said. A spokesman for a Taliban group said all soldiers in the vehicle were killed.
