A district administrative head and his bodyguard were killed when a bomb hidden in their car was detonated in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan on Saturday, said officials.Noor Agha Kamran, the Nazyan district chief was killed along with one bodyguard when the magnetic bomb attached to their car exploded near the University Hospital on the main road in Jalalabad.The Governor of the province, Attaullah Ludin confirmed the incident and expressed his grief over the assassination extending his condolences to the bereaved family.Nangarhar police spokesman, Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal said in a press statement, "A mine attached to the vehicle of Nazyan district governor, Noor Agha Kamran, was detonated in the city of Jalalabad." He further added, "Unfortunately, district governor, Noor Agha Kamran was martyred along with his one bodyguard, and several passersby were wounded in the attack." The injured were shifted to the nearby hospital for immediate treatment.
