A powerful blast rocked Afghan capital Kabul on Tuesday afternoon killing and injuring around 10 people, a local official said. \"The blast took place on a road leading to Kabul international airport, killing and injuring some 10 people, mostly civilian passersby,\" the official told Xinhua but declined to be identified, saying authorized officials would brief the media after investigation. However, he added that the site of blast is close to the Afghan Supreme Court compound and the U.S. embassy. Security personnel have cordoned off the area and do not allow journalists to get access.
