A United States General was killed and 14 others wounded in an attack at a military training facility in Afghan capital city Kabul on Tuesday, said media reports.
NATO-led force, International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in a statement said that the attack took place at a British military training academy in the capital. It said one ISAF service member was killed, without giving details, and the incident was under investigation.
According to Afghan Defense spokesman General Zahir Azimi, a terrorist in an Afghan National Army uniform fired at the personnel at noon. Some of Afghan and foreign forces were wounded, he added.
President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the attack saying that the delegation had been visiting the facility to help build Afghanistan's security forces. A total of 133 coalition soldiers have been killed so far this year. The killed general was one of the highest-ranking military officers killed since 9/11.
