Afghan police during series of operations in parts of the country have killed one Taliban militant and captured two others over the past 24 hours, Interior Ministry said in a statement released here on Thursday. According to the statement, the operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Wardak, Logar and Kunduz provinces, during which a number of arms and ammunitions including explosive devices were also seized by police. There were no casualties on police personnel, according to the statement. Taliban militants have yet to comment on the report.
