At least 9 Taliban militants were killed following counter-terrorism operations in the past 24 hours across Afghanistan.
The Ministry of Interior (MoI), following a statement said Sunday that the militants were killed in Kunar, Nangarahr, Laghman, Kandahar, Maidan Wardak, Khost, paktia, Ghr and Kapisa provinces, Khaama press reported.
The statement further added Afghan national army, Afghan national police and Afghan intelligence – national directorate of security (NDS) operatives jointly conducted the operations.
At least 14 Taliban militant was also injured during the operations, MoI said.
The statement also added that Afghan security forces confiscated various types of weapons, ammunition and explosives during the operations.
