Afghan security forces inspect the damage of a minibus hit by a suicide attacker

At least eight people were killed and 14 others wounded in a bomb blasts in Afghanistan's northern province of Baghlan, Khaama Press Agency reported on Friday.

The attack took place late on Thursday in Baghlan's Markazi district after a mortar round landed in the area.

According to provincial public health officials, eight civilians including a woman and two children were among those killed.

The officials further added that a number of injured civilians are in critical condition, amid fears that the death toll could rise.

No group including the Taliban militants has claimed responsibility behind the incident yet.
