74 Taliban killed in Afghanistan in 24 hours

Afghan Ministry for Interior on Monday reported killing more than six dozen Taliban militants across the country over the past 24 hours.
"Units of police backed by the national army have raided Taliban hideouts in several provinces over the past 24 hours, leaving 74 armed insurgents dead," the Interior Ministry statement released here contended.
According to the statement, 36 Taliban more fighters sustained injuries and five others arrested during the operations.
The statement didn't say if there were casualties on the security personnel.
Taliban militants who launched their so-called spring offensive are yet to make comment.
