At least 33 Taliban militants were killed following military operations in various provinces of Afghanistan in the past 24 hours.
Afghanistan Interior Ministry said in a statement that the operations were jointly conducted by Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army and Afghan Intelligence in Kunar, Nangarhar, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Sar-e-Pul, Jawzjan, Kandahar, Uruzgan and Helmand provinces.
At least 15 Taliban militants were also injured and 8 others were detained during the operation, the statement added.
