The toll of the Israeli aggressions reached on Wednesday nearly 650 dead in the Gaza Strip where the bodies of those killed on the previous day continued to be found in the rubble on the 16th day of the barbaric attacks by the occupation forces.
Early in the morning, five Palestinians, including two children, were killed by Israeli tank fire in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to the spokesman of al-Ashraf Qoudra emergency services, the five Palestinians were killed in Abassan, a village east of Khan Younis.
In addition to the nearly 650 dead counted by the AFP agency from the emergency services, about 3,700 people were injured and 100,000 displaced have sought refuge at the UN center after the bombing of the Israeli occupation army on Palestinian enclave.
The 16th day of Israeli attacks, entire neighborhoods of Gaza, appeared according to correspondents, "annihilated", especially Chajaya where strikes have killed at least 70 people Sunday.
In a televised speech, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has promised to "prosecute those who commit crimes against our people, regardless of how long it takes."
Meeting in Ramallah (West Bank), the Palestinian leadership has called for "general popular demonstrations of solidarity with Gaza and Resistance."
In New York, the Palestinian representative to the UN, Riyad Mansour, accused the international community of having "failed in its obligation to protect civilians in time of war.”
