A Palestinian man Saturday succumbed to wounds he sustained when he was shot by Israeli troops.

The forces opened fire on Zaki Gaby, 56, alleging he was trying to ram an Israeli soldier near a checkpoint in Nablus in the occupied West Bank.

He was left bleeding as ambulance teams were denied access to the scene.

His death was announced by a medical source at a hospital.
