Israeli troops open fire at fishermen

Israeli troops opened fire at a number of Palestinian farmers and fishermen in the Gaza Strip Saturday.

The Israeli troops deployed on military towers on the eastern border of al Braij Camp in the Central Gaza Strip shot at farmers but no casualties were reported, local sources said.

Israeli gunboats, meanwhile, targeted fishing boats off al Sudaniya area in northwestern Gaza, the sources said, adding that no casualties were reported.

Israeli troops regularly target Palestinian fishermen sailing within the six-nautical-mile zone, as well as farmlands along the border, clearly violating the ceasefire deal reached after the Gaza war.
