Israeli occupation forces detained ten Palestinian fishermen off northern Gaza's shores, head of the Palestinian fishermen society Nizar Ayash said on Wednesday.

The Israeli navy intercepted a fishing boat carrying ten Palestinian fishermen and take them to the Israeli Port of Ashdod, he added.

The Israeli troops endeavor to tighten the noose on Palestinian fishermen to force them to leave their profession.

Israeli forces have repeatedly opened fire at fishermen along the Gaza Strip coast.
