A total of 7000 new illegal settlements were built in the West Bank since the beginning of 2017, compared to 4,000 units in the same period last year, a Palestinian source said.

The chairman of the Palestinian Authority Committee Against the Wall and Settlements, Walid Assaf, said in a statement that the Palestinian state can not be established with Israel’s continued policy of building thousands of new settlements in the West Bank.
