The Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in New York on Wednesday issued a circular on Hurricane Irma, one of the most powerful Atlantic storms in the century.
Hurricane Irma howled past Puerto Rico on Wednesday after thrashing several smaller Caribbean islands with roof-ripping winds, drenching rains and pounding surf on a collision course with Florida.
"Please stay tuned to your local news for updates and adhere to all official advisories by local authorities in your area," the consulate said on its Twitter account.
