A landslide at a construction site in Northern Seoul has left one person dead and three others wounded. Torrential rains brought on the earthen flow that tore through the site in Wolgye-dong late Wednesday. Three running cars were buried with people inside, resulting in the death and injuries, KBS WORLD reported Thursday. Some 15-hundred tons of earth fell during the incident and buried a 40-meter section of a nearby railway. The blockage halted the operation of a subway train between Seongbuk Station and Dobongsan Station on the No. 1 line for five hours. The landslide might have resulted in a catastrophe, as a subway train passed the section immediately before it occurred.
