Jordanian Ambassador Rima Ala’a Edeen on Thursday presented her credentials to Governor General of Canada David Johnston as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

During the meeting, the ambassador conveyed the regards of His Majesty King Abdullah II to Johnston, while reiterating the depth of ties between the two countries.

Further, Ala’a Edeen voiced hope the near future would bring more cooperation and partnerships between Jordan and Canada, mainly in the economic and cultural domains.

On his part, the Governor General of Canada noted the strong friendship between Jordan and Canada. He also valued the role played by the Kingdom in the Middle East.
