NATO is joining the US-led international coalition fighting against Daesh terrorist organization, Secretary General of the NATO Jens Stoltenberg said.

The NATO decision to officially join the anti-Daesh coalition will be ratified in Brussels on Thursday, Stoltenberg added.

The chief noted that this decision does not mean that the NATO will take part in military operations, but will send a strong political message and highlight its member-states’ commitment to fighting terrorism.
