Moscow will not move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem before reaching a final settlement between the Palestinians and the Israelis, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
The statement was made in response to a call by an Israeli minister for Russia to become the first country in the world to move its embassy to Jerusalem.
An official source at the Russian ministry said that Moscow issued a statement on April 6 affirming its commitment to the two-state solution to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
