Berlin - Irna
Libya\'s Ambassador to Germany Jamal Ali Al-Barag has left his diplomatic post in Germany and moved to an unspecified country, the German-edition of Financial Times (FTD) reported Thursday without citing any sources. Germany\'s Foreign Ministry would not confirm the report but did acknowledge that it had not had any contact with Al-Barag for quite some time. Libya\'s top diplomat in Berlin had not distanced himself from Libyan dictator Moammar Qadhafi whose regime is on the verge of collapse after Libyan rebels stormed his compound in Tripoli on Tuesday. Libya\'s Transitional National Council (TNC) has yet to name an ambassador for Germany. Last month, the German Foreign Ministry expelled the Libyan charge d\'affaires, declaring him persona non grata. Although Berlin has formally recognized Libya\'s National Transitional Council, it has yet to expel the remaining diplomats in the country representing the regime of Moammar Qadhafi.
