A blast at a French nuclear site killed at least one person and injured four more on Monday, the state nuclear regulator said, as emergency services warned of a radiation leak threat. However, the French government has since confirmed that there has been no radioactive leak. National electricity provider EDF confimed the initial death toll following the explosion at the Marcoule nuclear site in the Rhone Valley near the southern city of Nimes.
