Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmed Al-Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on has reassured all Kuwaitis about the security situation on the northern borders, saying: \"there is nothing to worry about\". \"Security forces with its different departments are carrying out their usual duties there with all vigilance and preparedness,\" Al-Hamoud told reporters after a Friday dawn visit to the northern borders. \"The Iraqi border police have also exerted good efforts in cooperation and coordination with our security forces following an attempt by a number of Iraqis to hold a demonstration on the northern borders,\" the minister said, adding that Iraqi forces have managed to turn demonstrators away from the borders with Kuwait. Meanwhile Al-Hamoud ordered all relevant security agencies to stay vigilant and take all necessary measures \"to deal with any kind of penetration of Kuwaiti borders in the future and to respond to those actions firmly and with zero tolerance\". The minister hailed security forces\'\' high morale while protecting their homeland and their compatriots. Accompanied by Assistant Undersecretary for Special Security Forces Lieutenant General Sulaiman Fahad Al-Fahad, during the dawn visit today, the Kuwaiti Interior minister toured the northern borders to get first-hand knowledge about the situation there and the precautionary measures taken to deal with emergencies as well as to meet port and border police and Special Forces leaders. Following the meeting, the minister underlined the safety, calmness and stability of the security situation on the border as well as security forces\'\' readiness for dealing with any emergency.
