The police chief of Tamriyah north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad escaped unhurt a suicide car bomb explosion Wednesday , but three members of his family were injured. Police said a suicide car bomber attacked the home of Brigadier General Ahmad Tawfiq and detonated an explosive-laden car at the at the entrance to the house. Tawfiq was in the house at the time of the explosion but was unscathed. The house and two other nearby houses were damaged in the explosion.
