Going the extra mile to meet Anna Hazare\'s major demand, government will have a discussion in the Lok Sabha (Lower House of Parliament) Friday on various versions of the anti-corruption bill, including the one brought out by Team Anna. The discussion will be held under Rule 184 which entails voting, sources said Thursday night. A motion will be brought to facilitate a combined discussion on the Lokpal Bill, the Jan Lokpal Bill brought out by Anna Hazare as also the drafts prepared by activist Aruna Roy and Jai Prakash Narain, PTI news agency quoted the sources as saying. While the exact wording of the motion is not immediately known, sources said the discussion could take place on the Jan Lokpal Bill (Team Anna\'s Anti-Corruption Bill) in the shape of a \'document\' and its salient features, after which the records of the debate are expected to be sent to the Parliamentary Standing Committee examining the Lokpal Bill. A decision in this regard was reached during hectic parleys within the government and discussions held by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee with Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Bansal and Law Minister Salman Khurshid. The way appears to have been cleared for Anna Hazare to end his fast possibly Friday when Parliament will discuss the Jan Lokpal Bill along with other civil society drafts on the subject after Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh made the ice-breaking offer. Hazare set three conditions to break his ten-day fast declaring publicly that all civil servants should be brought under Lokpal, a Citizen Charter should be displayed at all government offices and all states should have Lokayuktas. The 74-year-old Hazare said that if Parliament considered the Jan Lokpal bill and there was an agreement within the House on these three conditions, he would break his fast. The Prime Minister took the first step towards breaking the ice when he made an open offer in Lok Sabha that Parliament will consider the Jan Lokpal Bill along with bills proposed by others, including Aruna Roy and Dr Jayaprakash Narayan, and the record of the discussion would be sent to the Standing Committee. He also applauded the Gandhian for his ideals, saying \'I salute him. His life is much too precious and therefore, I would urge Hazare to end his fast.\' Parliament, after the Prime Minister\'s speech and appeal, unanimously requested Anna Hazare to break his fast. \'I do hope Anna Hazare will respond. We wish that he should devote his energy in the service of the nation for many many years,\' he said. Meanwhile, Hazare\'s associates Shanti Bhushan, Prashant Bhushan, Kiran Bedi and Manoj Sisodia met senior BJP leaders L K Advani, Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj and Nitin Gadkari late Thursday night to discuss the issue. \'We discussed how a solution could be found while preserving the prestige of Parliament and Constitution,\' Jaitley told reporters later. He said the civil society representatives agreed that a solution should be in consonance with the Constitution, he said, adding the rest depends on whether the government has a \'positive\' and constructive\' approach. Earlier, more than 350 people, including 60 from outside the Prime Minister\'s residence, were detained from VVIP areas in the capital for staging protests demanding passage of the Jan Lokpal Bill. A senior police official said at least 360 people were detained during the day as they staged protests in New Delhi district. To restrict the number of protesters outside the Prime Minister\'s residence, police blocked the roads leading to Race Course Road, leading to traffic snarls in nearby roads. Police also closed down four Metro stations – Udyog Bhawan, Race Course, Jor Bagh and Khan Market -- close to the PM\'s residence to disable protesters using the Metro to come to the area. In the meantime, Social activist Anna Hazare\'s supporters Thursday continued to stage sit-ins and demonstrations in several parts of the country. In Delhi, Team Anna Hazare gave a call to the people to peacefully march towards the national capital from Saturday if the government fails to resolve the Lokpal issue. Arvind Kejriwal, core member of Hazare\'s team, also appealed to people here to hold a protest outside the 7, Race Course Road official residence of the Prime Minister demanding tabling of Jan Lokpal Bill in Parliament. \'By Saturday, if there is no solution, we will appeal to the people for \'Dilli chalo\'. People should come in large numbers and sit here till the government finds solution to the issue, if it doesn\'t introduce the \'Jan Lokpal bill\' in Parliament they should not leave till it is resolved,\' he told reporters after a meeting of the team\'s core committee. Meanwhile, shops in some parts of the national capital were kept closed today expressing solidarity with the campaign against corruption by Anna Hazare, Delhi Traders Union claimed. Shops in Connaught Place, Janpath and Palika Bazar were closed on Thursday, New Delhi Traders Association president Atul Bhargava said. As the support to the anti-corruption movement is swelling across the country, Ministry of Home Affairs employee pledges support to Hazare. After a Delhi court judge, it was the turn of a \'Home Ministry employee\' tonight to pledge his support to fasting Anna Hazare. Vikram Singh, who was introduced as a Home Ministry employee, came to the dais in Ramlila Maidan where Hazare has been fasting for a strong Lokpal Bill. He urged people to come and join Hazare\'s struggle. Singh said Hazare was doing what the Prime Minister should have done. He also criticised Human Resource and Development (HRD) Minister Kapil Sibal. Earlier, on Wednesday, Civil Judge Ajay Pandey, who sits in the Lower Court at Tees Hazari in Delhi, pledged his support to Hazare\'s anti-corruption crusade and demand to include judiciary under the ambit of Lokpal. Pandey drew a thunderous applause from Hazare supporters when he addressed the crowd on the \'scourge of corruption\'. \'I have been a judge at the Parliament Street court and other places and have closely seen how corruption prevails and mighty people are let off,\' Pandey said. In the meantime, as the fast of anti-corruption crusader entered the tenth day, Doctors expressed concerned about the health of Anna Hazare. \'We have examined him. There is stability in blood pressure and heart beat. He has taken rest. He had six litres of water and the ketone levels have come down,\' Dr Naresh Trehan told reporters here. Trehan said it was a \'matter of concern\' that for the past 10 days, Hazare was on fast and that he has not eaten anything. \'This will have an effect on his body...Till now, he has already managed for 10 days and he is stable. We are monitoring his health round-the-clock,\' he said, adding that doctors were checking his condition every two hours.
