Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council held a joint meeting Wednesday night with their US and British counterparts to discuss developments in Yemen.
The meeting was also attended by the UN chief's personal envoy to Yemen and the GCC chief.
A statement by the GCC secretariat said they discussed efforts by the UN envoy to resume the Yemeni peace talks to reach a comprehensive political and security solution to the crisis in Yemen according to UNSC Resolution 2216 and the Gulf Initiative.
The GCC foreign ministers also met their French counterpart to discuss strategic partnership between the two sides.
