Embassy of New Zealand opens new headquarters in Abu Dhabi

The Minister of Foreign Affairs in New Zealand, Murray McCully, in the presence of Dr. Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, today opened the new headquarters of the New Zealand Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

The opening was attended by Ali Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director of East Asia and Pacific Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Adnan Amin, Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency, and a number of officials and heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to the state.

Dr. Gargash, congratulated the New Zealand Ambassador and his government on the occasion, praising the big effort and role that the New Zealand diplomatic mission plays in promoting bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

The New Zealand Ambassador hailed the bilateral relations between the UAE and his country, pointing out that the new embassy headquarters building is an important step for developing relations and advancing them for the benefit of the two countries.

The UAE and New Zealand are linked by distinguished historical, friendly and stable ties, built on the spirit of understanding and mutual respect with a mutual desire to develop those relations to reflect the ambitions and directives of the senior leaderships of both countries.
