Jerusalem - Ria Novosti
Protests involving at least a hundred of Druzes living in the north of Israel erupted on Sunday near Quneitra in the Golan Heights, a spokesman of Israel Defense Forces told RIA Novosti. Protests erupted after 650 Druzes were not allowed to visit Syria during Druze holidays, their earlier issued permissions being abolished. The spokesman said the situation was under control and there were no incidents. Local media say permissions were abolished due to strengthening of security measures in Israel.
