Arab Parliament Speaker Ali Salem Diqbasy said Tuesday that the dangerous conditions prevailing in the Arab region require an urgent Arab summit to discuss current issues. In a press statement, Disbasy said that Arab countries need to take a firm stand and break their wall of silence towards “the massacres and genocide committed against the Arab people” in a number of Arab countries. He called for an urgent Arab summit to discuss the deteriorating situation in the Arab world and take firm action to stop the loss of lives among citizens, the abuse of their dignity, infringement of their freedoms, money and children and the “brutal torture of them that is shaking human conscience,” adding that these massacres violate international human rights and Arab constitutions.
