Religion in China

The Egyptian Consulate General in Shanghai gave the Islamic Association of China a number of religious books as a present from the Awqaf Ministry’s Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.

This comes on the occasion of the new Hijri year 1438.

In exclusive statements to MENA on Sunday, Egyptian Consul General in Shanghai Khaled Youssef said these books will help in rectifying erroneous concepts about Islam.

The action comes within the framework of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to support and spread moderate Islam in order to face extremism, Youssef further said.
