The Arab Foreign Ministers Council is due to to hold an extraordinary meeting on Libya and Syria at the Arab League''s general headquarters here tomorrow, Saturday, an arab league senior official said. Director of the arab league council department Ambassador mohamed zaidi said that the outset of the meeting will witness an article for returning libya''s full membership to the arab league on condition the national transitional council (NTC) occupies its seat . Then the NTC delegation will partake in the meeting after adopting a formal resolution reinstating Libya to the league -related meetings. Earlier on Feb.23, the arab league council decided at an extraordinary session held at the time to suspend participation of Libya''s delegation to the arab league council and all other affiliated organisations and organs until the Libyan authorities realize the aspirations of the Libyan people. "The first issue on the meeting''s agenda is unfreezing Libya''s membership in the Arab League and recognizing the National Transitional Council as the legitimate representative of Libyan people," said Kuwait permanent representative in the League Ambassador Jamal Al-Ghuneim . Al-Ghuneim revealed that an NTC representative would address the meeting about the recent developments in Libya. "The meeting would also touch upon the situation in Syria on backdrop of the recent developments on the ground and the newly-imposed UN sanctions on several Syrian officials," Al-Ghuneim said. He noted that Kuwait''s high-level participation in the meeting shows its clear supporting stance to the rights of Syrian people.
