Two Palestinians were killed in a West Bank raid and Israeli and Lebanese troops traded gunfire in a separate incident, Israel's army said. Five Israeli soldiers were injured by stones thrown at them and one required hospital treatment, the army said Monday. Officials said soldiers had entered a West Bank camp south of Ramallah to arrest two terror suspects, and gunbattles, rioting and stone-throwing followed. Soldiers arrested two people and left the camp, the army said. In the other incident, Lebanese soldiers opened fire on an Israeli army patrol at the border in the Mount Dov region Monday, Israeli army officials said. Israel's Haaretz newspaper said a Lebanese soldier was injured in the incident. The Daily Star of Lebanon quoted an unnamed security source as saying there were no casualties. "The soldiers behaved liked they were supposed to. They are determined to defend themselves and the border," Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense committee, The Jerusalem Post said. The Daily Star said seven Israeli soldiers crossed a few meters into Lebanese territory in the Wazzani River area shortly after dawn, prompting the Lebanese Army to open fire. The Israeli Army said soldiers were patrolling the area when shots were fired and they returned fire. Following the incident, Israel filed a complaint with the United Nations peacekeeping force, Ynetnews.com said.
