The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) voted today in favor of a resolution that considers Jerusalem a city under Israeli occupation In its resolution, UNESCO affirmed that Israel occupies Jerusalem and has no right in the Old City.
The decision also includes the recognition that the cemeteries in the city of Hebron and in Bethlehem are Islamic cemeteries. Twenty-two Member States voted in favor of the resolution, while 10 voted against and 23 abstained.
