Tunisian media sources announced that Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali visited on Thursday a number of  symbols of the former regime  together with  in-laws of the former President who are imprisoned in Tunis. The same sources reported that Jebali was accompanied by the Minister of Human Rights and Transitional Justice to check on the conditions of the detention of those prisoners. Among those detainees are the former Interior Minister, the former presidential spokesman and many of the former President’s in-laws who are are being tried for cases related to corruption, bribery and torture. According to leaked reports of the visit, the PM talked to the prisoners and assured them that their  trials would be in accordance with  the law without being tainted by the settling of scores or revenge.
