Algeria - Sofiane Siyoucef
Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki began Sunday an official visit to Algeria at the end of the Maghreb tour, which also included Morocco and Mauritania. A statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic of Algeria, said the visit came within the framework of promoting dialogue and consultation between the two countries, and strengthening ties of cooperation. Various regional and international issues of common concern were discussed during the visit, as the Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika held talks with Marzouki which have been expanded to include members of the two delegations. The talks have been attended by several Algerians officials, such as Minister of Energy and Mines Youcef Yousfi, Minister delegate to Minister of National Defence Abdelmalek Guenaizia, Minister for Maghreb and African Affairs Abdelkader Messahel, Adviser to Algerian President Mohamed Ali Boughazi, and from Tunisia, Minister of National Defence Abdelkrim Ezoubaidi, Secretary of State for African, Maghreb and Arab Affairs Abdellah Triki, adviser to Tunisia’s President in charge of Foreign Affairs Abdallah El Kahlaoui, and Principal Private Secretary Imad Eddaimi.
