Afghanistan\'s interior ministry announced Saturday that at least ten insurgents were killed and 14 others arrested in security operations carried out by the Afghan police. Afghani newspaper Kama quoted officials in the ministry as saying 10 militants were killed and more than14 were arrested in the security operations carried by the Afghan police , national army, Afghan intelligence and international coalition forces in the states of Nangarhar, Badakhstan, Kandahar, Helmand, and Paktia. One militant was wounded in the operations in which Afghan security forces seized large quantities of arms and munitions.
